A catch-all feature that is enabled for a certain email mailbox will allow you to receive email messages that are sent to email addresses that do not really exist. To put it differently, if you deactivate an email address and someone still sends an email to it, or to any misspelled email address under the same domain name, you’ll get the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality implies that you will no longer miss an email for any reason, which could be essential if you run some company, for instance. Since you may start receiving junk messages, you can use the catch-all feature with anti-spam filtering software in order to get only real messages in your inbox. Just one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Website Hosting

If you host a domain on our cloud platform and you have a shared website hosting account, you will be able to enable the catch-all feature for any email mailbox that you set up under the domain. The Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section offers quite a lot of features, but it’s surprisingly easy to work with, so setting up a catch-all mailbox requires just one click of the mouse. All the email addresses that you have will be enumerated in this section in alphabetical order and you’ll simply have to click the "Catch-all" button associated with the particular address. Our system will notify you if there is already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain name or if the one that you’d like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either deactivate the latter feature or select another mailbox. Disabling the catch-all option is just as easy and takes one more click on the exact same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

A catch-all email address can be configured with a couple of clicks of the mouse if you’ve got a Linux semi-dedicated package with us. The semi-dedicated account will be managed through our custom Hepsia Control Panel and you will be able to create email addresses with any domain hosted here. To activate the catch-all functionality for a particular mailbox, you’ll need to click the icon with the exact same name, which will be next to each mailbox. Disabling this functionality can be achieved in the very same manner and will not require more than a click either. If a catch-all mailbox has already been activated for a specific domain name, you will get a warning. The same goes if the mailbox that you want to be a catch-all one has email forwarding activated, as our system will never change or deactivate anything automatically.
